sexworkers EDIT: Check out my new article
Tips for handling the FOSTA/SESTA debacleOn April 6, 2018, the US Department of Justice seized the Backpage.com domain. This follows upon the closure of several popular advertising platforms for sex workers, including Craigslist personals, Cityvibe, Reddit, and many others.
However, all is not lost! There are many other online forums still online for both sexworkers and their clients. And many more are in the wings..
If you have limited time, I recommend joining
https://switter.at. It's a Twitter-like clone created by sexworkers for sexworkers. It's free to sign up and create an account. It's rapidly growing among sex workers (8000+ accounts and counting) and is one of most popular of the forums that allow both clients and sex workers. Their servers are located in Australia, where sex work is legal, so they're not likely to be shutdown soon. The code is open source (it's an instance of the Mastodon.social federation), so if they do turn evil, another instance can be created in their place.
If you're looking for a sex worker only form, the SafeOffice forums are probably the most popular, though the Discord group seems to be growing rapidly.
Here's the extended list of forums:

IMHO, hubzilla offers the most long-term promise. Hubzilla has a powerful privacy system, allowing very fine grained control over the privacy of every picture, post, and video. In addition, Hubzilla also has strong support for "nomadic identity". For example, you can clone your channel from one hub to another. So, if your channel's hub is shutdown, you can easily switch to your clone accounts on any other hub, with no loss of contacts, friends, or content.
Come check it out!
