When I tried to connect to this channel:

I got a "Channel location missing" error message.

Same thing when I tried to connect to this channel:

It happened to me time ago when trying to connect to channels within the same hub. Judging by its directory Gerzilla.de looks like a big hub so don't think it's this, as someone would've complained before. However, my case may help you

My hub sat behind a reverse proxy, meaning that the TLS tunnel from the client arrived only to this proxy and not to the hub itself: the priv key lived at the proxy. The connections to other hubs ran normally, but from the hub to itself didn't. Why? When it tried to connect to itself it tried to do it securely, i.e., by https and a with valid certificate. The hub had another priv key, a self-signed certificate, the one that the reverse proxy saw and trusted. Therefore, when it tried to connect, it refused because the self-signed cert was not "valid", and launched the same error message. The fix was to add its priv cert to its trusted certs list.

So, could it be something similar? Can you connect to some other channel in the same hub? Does it happen with foreign channels?

Only if the channel privacy settings and site settings allow it.

Custom/expert permissions can do a lot of things, but we hide these from easy access for good reasons. You have complete control of your privacy, but some settings have unintended side effects - not all of them desirable. If you run into issues you're expected to solve them. You're an expert after all.
