I'm new to the scene; have not yet spent time with anyone. I understand the need for providers to require client verification; but I ran into a situation that raised alarm bells in my mind. I was traveling and browsed bedpage for a bit to see if I could find anyone near my out-of-the-way location. I started emailing two ladies. Both referred me to profiles on "SafeCasualDating" (nsahunter.com), a site that purports to be a hosting/verification site, that reveals contact info only upon receipt of a credit card number "used only to verify your age and that you're not on the sex-offender registry".
I was planning a few days in advance, so I said in the emails I was looking to meet in about 48 hours. Both ladies apparently didn't understand that, and after I'd been silent for an hour (because, you know, life) started asking why I'd not gotten back to them yet, and urging me again to sign up with the verification service. That's when alarm bells started ringing. Some searching revealed that "SafeCasualDating.net" was a scam site that claimed to offer verification services but really just ripped clients off. Although this site is slightly different, that plus the email exchanges make me certain that nsahunter.com is the same deal.
I've seen P411 around for awhile on more reputable exchanges, so I'd trust them; but I've also seen providers on bedpage that use "MeetVerification" (localsafeverify.com) and also providers on switter that use "Screening Mate" (screeningmate.com). So here's the question: What verification services are legit?
